UL Warns of Counterfeit Lighting Fixtures

NORTHBROOK, Ill., May 31, 2007 -- Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is notifying consumers that lighting fixtures distributed by Whitfield Lighting have not been evaluated for safety by UL and bear counterfeit UL Marks for the United States and Canada.

These lighting fixtures: Item No: (FM412SS) have been approved by both U.L. and C.U.L. During manufacturing, a number of fixtures had the incorrect labels applied (E213512). The correct label and UL Certification is linked below:
